James L. Chen, MD

Senior Vice President for Medical Informatics, Tempus

Dr. James L Chen is the Senior Vice President for Medical Informatics at Tempus Labs and a practicing medical oncologist specializing in rare tumors. He is also a dually-appointed Associate Professor in the Divisions of Medical Oncology and Bioinformatics at The Ohio State University. Previously, he served as the Director for Clinical and Research Informatics at The James Comprehensive Cancer Center. He has served nationally leading multiple cooperative group committees including ALLIANCE and ASCO.

Dr. Chen has a strong interest in the development of therapeutic biomarkers and informatics tools to help clinicians improve patient care.
