Objective & Aims

The primary mission of this initiative is to develop partnerships with multiple cancer centers and stakeholders to increase the knowledge and awareness of the next generation of individuals of opportunities to enter the field of cancer informatics and clinical research. This will be achieved through a series of strategic actions and collaborations aimed at fostering partnerships, providing opportunities for training and mentoring, and promoting best practices. By working collaboratively, we can enhance the future representation within the Ci4CC, its member institutions, and throughout cancer informatics. We invite you to join us as we lay the groundwork for improving the pathway into cancer informatics, clinical trials, and research.

2025 Launch Plans

Build a community of CI4CC members and institutions to join in ideation & lessons learned discussions to understand the landscape of existing programs and expand the reach and impact of these programs.

• 1st Phase
• Send out communication via the CI4CC listserv to gather initial interest in being a part of this initiative
• Build Steering Committee
• Join Ci4CC Slack Channel / GoogleDocs Project Folder
• Engage other organizations (ex. ASCO, ACS, NCRA) to determine what initiatives are currently existing/planned
• Establish a monthly call through CI4CC towards open discussions on what is taking place elsewhere and opportunities that exist to grow collaboration.
• Depending upon interest, conduct a breakout session or pre-conference in person meeting.
